For businesses in and around Nottingham

Local SEO in Nottingham

I do local SEO in Nottingham, and I’m one person who actually lives here rather than an agency somewhere else entirely. I make sure your business turns up when someone nearby searches for what you do, whether that’s on Google, on Maps, or now inside AI assistants like ChatGPT.

What local SEO in Nottingham actually means

There’s nothing mysterious about it, and it’s simply the work that makes your business easy to find when someone in Nottingham types “plumber near me”, or asks their phone to recommend a physio in Beeston.

Most of that work is fairly unglamorous and it comes down to a handful of things: getting your Google Business Profile filled in properly, making sure your name, address and phone number match everywhere they appear, keeping reviews arriving and answering them, and having a website that loads quickly and can be read by a machine as well as by a person.

Most of the businesses I meet aren’t doing anything wrong, they just haven’t had the time to keep up with Google, let alone whatever ChatGPT is doing this month. If you’d like the plain-English version of all of it, I’ve written a beginner’s guide to getting found online.

Who I work with

I work with independent businesses in and around Nottingham, which usually means salons, trades, cafes, clinics, studios and shops. Most of them have one location, though some have two or three, and nearly all of them would rather be getting on with the actual job than sitting in a Google dashboard.

I keep my client list deliberately small, so when I’m full I open a short waiting list rather than taking on more than I can look after.

Areas I cover around Nottingham

I cover the city and the suburbs around it, so that takes in Beeston, West Bridgford, Arnold, Carlton, Sherwood, Mapperley, Bulwell, Hucknall, Wollaton and Clifton.

I also work out into the towns and villages nearby, including Bingham, Radcliffe on Trent, Cotgrave, Ruddington, Keyworth, East Leake and Bottesford, and further out towards Newark and Grantham.

I live in Whatton-in-the-Vale, which sits between Nottingham and Grantham, so most of this is genuinely local to me and I’ve driven through nearly all of it.

I work across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire more broadly, and I can take on a business anywhere in the country if the fit is right. Knowing an area well helps, but it’s not the thing that decides whether I can help you.

What the work actually involves

Get Found costs £599 as a one-off fee, and it’s the big fix done once over about two months. I rebuild your Google profile, tune your website, correct your listings everywhere including Bing and Apple Maps, and add the structured data that the AI tools can actually read.

Stay Found is £99 a month, and that’s me keeping all of it working for you. It covers weekly Google posts, your pages kept right, every review answered and your listings maintained.

Watch is £29 a month, which is my monitor checking your listings and the AI answers every month and sending you a plain-English report. If something breaks along the way, I step in and sort it.

There are no lock-ins, you give 30 days’ notice on the monthly plans, and you own everything I build for you.

What I can and can’t promise

I can promise that the foundations get done properly and stay done, and that you’ll always know what changed and why it mattered.

What I can’t promise is a particular position on Google, because nobody can, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing. How quickly things move depends on your trade, how competitive your corner of Nottingham is, and what state you’re starting from. Some businesses see things shift within a few weeks, and others take a few months.

What I will do is tell you the truth about it, in a report you can read in two minutes.

Questions I get asked

Ask me anything else you’re wondering about, because I’d rather you knew exactly what you were buying.

How much does local SEO in Nottingham cost?

My pricing is published rather than hidden behind a quote form, so it’s £599 to set everything up, then £99 a month, or £29 a month if you just want it watched. You can see the full pricing here.

How long before I see anything?

It tends to be weeks rather than days, and it really does depend on where you’re starting from. A tidy profile with a few reviews will move faster than one with three different versions of your phone number floating about online.

Do I have to be in Nottingham itself?

Not at all, because the work itself is the same wherever you happen to be and I can take on a business anywhere in the country. I focus on Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire because that’s the patch I actually know, and knowing which towns and villages your customers search from genuinely does help. None of that stops me working with someone in Kent or Surrey though, so it’s always worth asking.

Could I just do this myself?

Yes you could, and honestly some of you should, because every bit of it’s free to do. It takes roughly 15 hours to set up properly and a couple of hours a month after that. I’ve written an honest answer to that question if you want to think it through.

What about ChatGPT and AI answers?

People now ask AI assistants for recommendations instead of searching, and if the AI can’t find clear and consistent information about you then it simply names someone else instead. I’ve written about how to get your business into AI answers if you’d like the detail.

What happens first?

The first thing is a free visibility check, where I look at how you show up on Google and in the AI tools today and send you a one-page summary. It’s genuinely useful even if you never hire me.
