Lovable & Base44 App Help | Finish and Fix Your App
Vibe-coded apps

You built it in Lovable. Now it needs a developer.

You got most of the way there on your own, which is further than most people ever get. Then the login broke for real users, or the domain wouldn’t connect, or every fix started breaking something else. We pick it up from wherever you got to.

Tell us what’s broken

Sounds familiar?

These are the things we get asked about most – if yours isn’t here it’s still probably fixable, so ask anyway.

Almost none of them are the fault of the person who built the app. They’re the parts an app builder leaves for later, and later then arrives the first time a real customer signs up.

It works for you and breaks for everyone else

Login is fine on your account and falls over the moment a real user signs up. Almost always the authentication rules were never finished.

The wrong people can see the data

Row-level permissions were never switched on, so every logged-in user can read every record. This one matters far more than it looks.

The custom domain won’t connect

Or it connects and serves something odd, or it works with www in front and not without.

Perfect in the preview, dead once deployed

Environment variables, build settings, or something that only ever existed on the preview server in the first place.

Your API keys are in the front end

Where anybody who opens the browser tools can read them. If you’ve been pasting keys around to make something work, get this looked at.

There’s no way to take money

And every attempt to bolt payments on breaks the signup flow that was finally working.

Every fix breaks something else

You’re burning credits going round in circles, and the thing that worked yesterday doesn’t today.

It doesn’t look like your business

It looks like an app builder’s default, and no amount of prompting is shifting it.

What we actually do

We’re not precious about the fact you built it yourself. It’s actually quite the opposite – we love vibe coders and seeing what new ideas are being built. You’ve done the hard part, which was deciding what the thing should be.

  • Finish it. The last twenty per cent that turns a working demo into something you can put in front of paying customers.
  • Fix the login and the permissions. Properly, so it holds up when more than one person is using it at once.
  • Get it onto a real domain. Deployed, on your own domain, with certificates and redirects sorted out.
  • Lock down the keys and the data. Secrets off the front end, permissions set per user, and a straight answer about what was exposed and for how long.
  • Add payments. Stripe or whatever suits, wired in without breaking what already works.
  • Make it look like yours. Your branding, your fonts, your words, so it stops looking like a template with your logo dropped on top.
  • Hand it back explained. What we changed, where it lives, and what to keep an eye on.

The people who pick it up

I work with a small team of developers who have been building software for years, across databases, authentication, hosting and payments. Between them there isn’t much in a vibe-coded app they haven’t already seen break. Most of what goes wrong in these things isn’t the front end at all. It’s permissions, data and deployment, and those are the parts that want somebody who has done it before.

We are all in Nottingham but the work itself happens wherever you are, and most of the people we help we’ve never met.

How it works

Three steps, and no project plan required.

  1. You tell us what’s brokenEmail me a link to the app and a sentence about what’s going wrong. You don’t need the technical words for it.
  2. We tell you what it takesWhat we’d do, what it costs, and how long. If it’s a small fix we’ll say so rather than growing it into a project.
  3. We do it and you check itYou see it working before we call it finished. If it isn’t right, we keep going.

We work with people across the UK and further afield, and it’s all remote, so where you are has never really mattered. If the app is part of a business nobody can find yet, the AI visibility work is the other half of that problem.

What it costs

Priced per job and quoted before we start. Most fixes take a couple of hours, and you’ll have the price in writing before anybody opens your codebase.

Bigger pieces of work, finishing an app properly or rebuilding part of it, get scoped and quoted the same way. No credits burning in the background, no hourly meter, and no invoice bigger than the number we gave you.

If we think what you’re asking for isn’t worth doing, we’ll tell you that instead of taking the work.

Questions I get asked

Can someone fix my Lovable app?

Yes. Send us a link to the app and a sentence about what is going wrong, and we will tell you what we think is happening and what it costs before you commit to anything. It is all remote, so it makes no difference where in the world you are.

Why does my Lovable app work for me but break for other users?

Because the authentication rules were almost certainly never finished. Your own account works because it was created while everything was still open, and the moment a real user signs up the gaps show. It is the single most common thing we get asked to fix.

How do I connect a custom domain to a Lovable or Base44 app?

You point your domain’s DNS at the host and add the domain in the app builder’s settings. It goes wrong more often than it should, usually because of a stale DNS record, a missing certificate, or the www version behaving differently from the bare domain.

How do I know if my vibe-coded app is secure?

Check three things first: whether any API keys are sitting in the front end, whether every logged-in user can read everybody else’s data, and whether your database rules were ever switched on. If you are not sure, ask us, because checking is usually a short job.

Can I hire a developer to finish an app I built with AI?

Yes, and it is most of what we do. You do not need the original build to be tidy, and you do not need to explain the code. We pick it up from wherever you got to and finish the parts that turn a working demo into something you can charge for.

How much does it cost to fix a vibe-coded app?

It is priced per job and quoted before we start. Most fixes take a couple of hours. Bigger work, like finishing an app properly, gets scoped the same way, and if we think what you are asking for is not worth doing we will say so.

Will I still be able to edit my app in Lovable afterwards?

Usually yes. Some fixes are better done outside the builder, and if that applies to yours we will explain why and what it means before we touch anything.

Do you work with Bolt, Replit and v0 as well as Lovable and Base44?

Yes. Underneath, most of these builders use the same handful of technologies, so the platform matters far less than people expect. If yours is not on the list, ask anyway.
