Becky Halls vs TendorAI: which one actually suits your business?

Quick answer first, because I know some of you just want this bit: TendorAI is an AI visibility platform built for UK solicitors, accountants, mortgage advisers and estate agents. It’s software you log into and manage yourself, from £299 a month. I’m Becky, I do the same kind of job but by hand, for local independent businesses across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, and once you’re set up my price drops to £99 a month. Different tools for different businesses. Read on for the actual detail.

I keep getting asked about TendorAI, so let’s just talk about it properly.

What TendorAI actually is

TendorAI builds structured profiles for regulated firms (think SRA-registered solicitors, ICAEW accountants, FCA mortgage advisers) pulled from official registers like Companies House. It tracks how you show up across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Google AI Overviews, daily, and shows you a dashboard. Their own site says fewer than 1 in 10 UK solicitors appear consistently in AI recommendations right now, which is a genuinely useful stat if you’re one of the 9 out of 10.

It’s a solid product. It’s just built for a specific type of business, national, regulated, competing for phrases like “conveyancing solicitor Bristol”. If you’re a family-run garden centre in Bingham, it’s not really aimed at you.

What I do instead

I look after local businesses. Cafes, salons, gyms, trades, the lot. One person (me), covering your Google Business Profile, your website, your listings on Bing and Apple Maps, and yes, how you show up when someone asks ChatGPT “who’s the best plumber near Radcliffe on Trent”. I check that monthly and send you the screenshots.

You don’t get a login and a dashboard to interpret. You get me, doing the work, and a one-page report you can read while your tea’s still hot.

Why this actually matters right now

Something’s shifting under all our feet. Gartner reckons traditional search volume could drop by around a quarter by the end of this year, as more people just ask an AI instead of typing into Google. That’s not a small thing. It’s why platforms like TendorAI exist, and it’s why I added AI visibility to what I check for my own clients too. Same shift, two very different ways of dealing with it.

“I’m not trying to be TendorAI for shops and salons. I’m trying to be the person a local business owner can actually ring. Big platforms are brilliant if you’ve got the time and the team to run them. Most of my clients haven’t, and that’s fine, that’s what I’m for.” – Becky Halls

A few honest questions

Is TendorAI any good for a small local shop? Probably not the right fit. It’s priced and built for regulated professional firms competing nationally, not a single-location local business.

Is Becky Halls only for businesses right on my doorstep in Bingham or Bottesford? No, I cover Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire more broadly, but yes, it’s genuinely local, hands-on work, not a national platform.

Which one’s cheaper? Mine, once you’re past the first three months. £99 a month against £299. But we’re not really doing the same job, so it’s more about fit than price.

Can I use both? Nothing stopping you, but for most of my clients it’d be overkill. One good local visibility setup, kept up properly, does the job.

Where I’d start

If you’re a solicitor or mortgage adviser competing nationally, TendorAI’s worth a proper look. If you’re a business that lives and dies by people in your own town finding you, on Google, on Maps, and now increasingly through AI answers, that’s exactly my patch.

Free visibility check, two minutes, no obligation. I’ll tell you straight what’s working and what isn’t, whether you ever hire me or not.
