Here’s the quick answer to Becky Halls vs Merchynt: Merchynt is a Santa Monica company, and Paige is their AI agent that runs your Google Business Profile for $99 per business per month. It writes your posts, answers your reviews, handles citations and tracks whether ChatGPT and Perplexity mention you. Genuinely clever, and honestly cheap for what it does. This is the closest comparison I’ve written, because for once we’re charging almost the same for almost the same list! So let me be properly fair about it.
What Paige actually does
Merchynt’s Paige is billed as a 24/7 AI worker. Connect your Google Business Profile, answer some questions about your business, and it starts posting, replying to reviews, suggesting title tags and building citations. It tracks your position on Google Maps and it does check whether you’re getting mentioned by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok and Llama, which is more than most tools at this price bother with.
Their pricing page says “replaces expensive human labor” and “zero SEO knowledge required.” Both are largely true. Citations are a separate $40 per business per month, so call it $139 all in, roughly £110 at today’s rate.
I’ve had a poke around it. It’s a good product. I’d rather a small business used Paige than did nothing at all, and I mean that.
Where it stops
Paige doesn’t build you a website. It gives you schema markup code to paste into your site’s header and FAQ widgets to embed. Which is fine if you know what a header is. If you don’t, that code sits in an email until someone does it for you, and then you’re paying $99 a month for a tool that’s half switched on.
It also doesn’t ring anybody. When a review goes badly wrong and the customer is threatening to put it on the village Facebook page, an AI drafting a polite reply is not what you need.
And it’s American. The citation network leans US-heavy, the tone of the posts reads American unless you keep correcting it, and nobody at Merchynt knows that Bingham has a market on a Thursday.

The bit I’d actually think hard about
Paige is faster and it never has a day off. I can’t compete on either and I’m not going to pretend I work every day!
What I’ve got is judgment and no robotic language. Paige will happily post about your seasonal offer in January because January is when the calendar says to. I know your gym is dead in January because everyone joined the one in Nottingham with the free trial, so we push referrals instead. That kind of decision comes from knowing the place and knowing you, and no amount of prompt engineering gets you there.
There’s also the small matter of who fixes it when it breaks. If Paige posts something daft, you find out. If I post something daft, I find out, and I’ve already sorted it before you’ve noticed.

Is Paige any good? Yes. I’ve been impressed, particularly that it tracks AI mentions at this price. That’s not something I say lightly about a $99 tool.
Who’s cheaper? Us, near enough, once you’re comparing like for like. Their $99 plus $40 for citations lands around £110 a month. My Stay Found is £99 and includes a blog on your own site, which theirs doesn’t. But if you only want Watch, mine is £29.
Can I use Paige and still hire you? Honestly, yes, and some people should. If you want a website built and the technical bits installed properly, get me to do the setup, then run Paige yourself afterwards for the monthly upkeep. I’d rather tell you that than sell you something you don’t need.
Does Paige work in the UK? It works. The citation network is stronger in America, and you’ll want to check the tone of the posts before they go out, because “y’all” doesn’t land well in Aslockton.
What if I’m not techy? Then a tool that hands you schema code and asks you to install it is going to sit unused. That’s the honest answer, and it’s the main reason people end up ringing me instead.
